He emphasized the project’s ambition to comprehensively strengthen the bamboo supply chain—starting with cultivation (upstream), processing into products (midstream), and consumption (downstream). The Bamboo Academy will serve as a central knowledge hub, integrating modern technology and innovation to equip individuals and communities with the tools to develop agricultural and technological industries, ensuring sustainable community growth.
Dr. Chongrak Watcharintr, President of Kasetsart University, remarked, “This partnership builds on our existing collaboration, combining the expertise and resources of both organizations, such as academic personnel, data, and equipment. Our shared goal is to foster sustainable agricultural technologies for bamboo, leading to eco-friendly product development. The signing ceremony took place at the Kamphol Adulwit Conference Room, Information Building 50th Anniversary at Kasetsart University. Distinguished attendees included Assistant Professor Dr. Nikom Laemsak, Mr. Kitti Natthachayangkul, and other honored guests who witnessed the partnership’s commitment to sustainable innovation and community development.
The Bamboo Academy is expected to play a pivotal role in enabling knowledge transfer, empowering communities, and promoting bamboo as a sustainable economic driver in Thailand.
